BE PART OF A GREAT CAR CLUB

HISTORY:
The Barossa Valley Ford Club’s first recorded meeting was June 9th 1977, making us one of the longest serving country Car Clubs in  South Australian history. During these years the Club has maintained a strong and devoted membership.

THE AIMS:
To build up a family of Ford owners, who enjoy getting together socially, offering advice, exchanging ideas and organising social outings and events. The Club also promotes friendship and courtesy on the road, both socially and when in competition.

GOVERNANCE:
The executive committee consists of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Social Secretary. Associated positions within the Club include: Patron, Historic Vehicle Registration Officers, Editor, Merchandising Officer, Asset Registrar and Life Members. Executive positions are vacated at the annual general meeting in October. Members re-elect persons  for a period of one year only.

THE BADGE:
The logo instituted by the Club is a circle with the wording “Barossa Valley Ford Club Inc.”  with an XC Falcon Coupe as the central element. This model Ford was chosen being the car available the year the Club originated, 1977. Colours are blue yellow and black on a silver base. Car stickers with this design and a member card are a membership privilege. Other merchandising products are also available.

MEMBERSHIP:
The Club offers membership to anyone who owns a Ford built vehicle which is basically Ford powered. Persons can join individually or as a family unit. Fees are paid annually and members are bound by the Club’s rules and constitution.

WHAT THE CLUB OFFERS:
Members can use the Club’s equipment for personal use, attend the Club’s social functions and receive a Club magazine. A Club newsletter will keep members well informed. The Club also offers Historic Registration, motoring advice and social friendship.

WHAT THE CLUB DOES:
Fundraising for charities, social and sporting events with other clubs, social and economy runs to places of  interest, inter club b.b.q.‘s, show ‘n’  shines, raffles, camping and week-end trips away, etc - in other words - just about anything and everything!

AFFILIATIONS:
The Barossa Valley Ford Club Inc., is  affiliated with ”Federation of Historic Motoring Clubs S.A. Inc.

WHEN AND WHERE DO WE MEET:
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month [except January] commencing at 8.00pm at the Barossa Motor Lodge, Tanunda. They comprise mainly of club business and social get togethers. Visitors and friends are always welcome.

FEES:
Family - $60 per year

Single - $40 per year

Subs become due as of 1st. October each year and must be paid by 30th November of the same year.
