The Barossa Valley Ford Club’s first recorded meeting was on 9th June 1977, although interested Ford owners met several times prior to this date. Over the years the club has grown and maintained a strong and devoted membership.

The aim of the club is to build up a family of Ford owners, to enjoy getting together socially, offering advice, exchanging ideas and organising social outing and events. The club also promotes friendship and courtesy on the road, both socially and when in competition.

The logo instituted by the club is a circle with the wording “Barossa Valley Ford Club Inc.” with a XC Falcon Coupe as the central element. This model ford was chosen being the car available the year the club originated, 1977. Colours are blue, yellow and black on a silver base. Car sticker with this design and a member card are a membership privilege. A variety of other items with the club logo are available for purchase by contacting our Merchandising Officer (see Merchandise).

Members can use the Club’s equipment for personal use, attend the Club’s social functions and receive a Club magazine on a regular basis. A newsletter will keep members informed of upcoming events.

The Club holds fundraisers for charities and organises social and sporting events with other clubs, road navigation/observation trails, social and economy runs to places of interest, inter club barbecues and video nights. The club also partakes in dinner dances, show’n’shines, bus runs, raffles, weekend trips, etc. In other words… just about anything and everything!!

Monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month (except January) at the Barossa Motor Lodge, 182 Murray Street Tanunda, commencing at 8pm. They comprise mainly of club business and social get-togethers. Visitors are always welcome.

If you own a ford, old or new, in any condition and you are a ford loyalist you will enjoy the activities and membership in the Barossa Valley Ford Club Inc.
